Using this website

This website describes our services and lets you ask for a quote. The information on it is general. It is not a quote, an offer or electrical advice. Please do not rely on it to carry out electrical work yourself: electrical installation work in South Africa must be done by, or under the control of, a registered person.

Quotes

An estimate given from a form, photos, a phone call or WhatsApp is a guide only. A firm quote follows once we have seen the site or have enough information. Each written quote states how long it is valid for and what it includes and excludes. Prices can change if the scope of work changes or the site conditions differ from what we were told.

Accepting work, payment and cancellation

Work starts when you accept our written quote. Deposits, progress payments, payment dates and any cancellation charges are set out on the quote or invoice you accept. Materials ordered specifically for your job may not be refundable.

Compliance and certificates

Our electrical installation work is done to the applicable South African wiring code (SANS 10142-1) and the regulations that apply. On completion of work that requires it, we issue a Certificate of Compliance. Solar, inverter and battery installations are tested and documented as the code requires. If the existing installation has faults or does not comply, we will tell you and quote separately for the corrections.

Warranty and your consumer rights

Product warranties (for example on inverters, batteries and panels) are given by the manufacturer and run for the period and on the conditions the manufacturer sets; we will give you the details when you receive the product. Any warranty on our own workmanship is stated on your quote or invoice. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or any other law.

Liability

We take care to keep this website accurate and available, but we do not promise that it is always free of errors or interruptions. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss caused by relying on general information on this website. Our liability for work we carry out is governed by your accepted quote and by law.

Photos, brands and content

Photos of our work belong to Pursuit Electrics or are used with permission. Brand names and logos belong to their owners; showing them means we work with those products. It does not mean the brand endorses us unless we say so.

Disputes and governing law

If you are unhappy, please tell us first so that we can put it right. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
